Ms. Jaquesta Adams won first  prize at the thirteenth annual Undergraduate Student Research Competition during  September28-30, 2018.  The competition was sponsored by Minority Access. Congrats Jaquesta!

Dr. Clayborne, in collaboration with Prof. Cummings, Prof. Bae, and Prof. Wei at Howard University; and Prof. Tao at Winston Salem State University received funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF).  The award (NSF1831559) is for research involving the development of protein sensors using theoretical and experimental techniques.

Jaquesta Adams received the Advancing Science Conference Grant (ACSG) to attend the National Organization of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) in September. She will also present a poster about her research on ligated silicon nitride clusters at the conference. Congratulations!

The Laboratory for the Clayborne Group has relocated to the Chemistry Laser Building.  Prof. Clayborne has also moved to the Chemistry Laser Building.

Professor Clayborne visited the Changchun Institute for Applied Chemistry (CIAC), Chinese Academy of Sciences in Changchun, China (Jilin Province).
